Metal Deer Targets

S*lver Panner said: I want to have one for deer camp this fall. Anyone have any idea where to get one of these? I suppose I could make it myself. Any ideas how thick/thin the metal should be? Anyone else ever made one?

N*n Typical said: Make it yourself, if you can and save bucks!! 1/4" sheet is all you need. You can make it thicker but you won't move it! LOL We did make a bear with 1/8" and two pieces of angle welded on each side of the kill zone to stick in the ground. It was flimsy but sure stopped the arrows.

*tchison said: I'm confused...why would you want a metal target? Wouldn't that damage the arrows?

S*lver Panner said: Theres a cut out for the vitals. You put your shot in the vitals, then your arrouw lives to see another day. You dont... then you know what happens. Its more of a game then for pratice. We shoot for choice of stands at our camp. I want to make one for the bonus round.
